Rosemary Bennett, the Social Affairs Correspondent, quoted Wendy Mitchell, Tim Danaher of Retail Week and Gerard Cousins of Barnardo’s on Mary Portas's proposed cap on charity shop numbers. Rosemary stated: "Charities are currently experiencing a boom, because they offer high-quality products and value for money in tough times."

Warren Alexander, Wendy Mitchell and David Cryer (Association Chairman) have done several BBC radio and television interviews on the proposed cap on charity shop numbers on the high street. National stations included BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Scotland, and TransWorld Radio UK. Local stations included BBC Radio Leeds, Three Counties Radio, BBC Radio Suffolk, BBC Radio Stoke, BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Warren Alexander appeared on BBC Breakfast at Oxfam’s shop in Lichfield, Staffordshire. He emphasised the positive role charity shops play in the high street, encouraging footfall and adding to the mix of shops; Thursday 27 October.

David Cryer appeared on BBC TV South evening news, making similar points to those above; Friday 28 October.
